Policy and Research Analyst

We are seeking a part-time (20 hours per week) Policy and Research Analyst who will be responsible for understanding analytical and policy challenges in a health and human services agency as they move forward with healthcare transformation.Successful candidates must be resourceful, detail-oriented, and passionate about understanding their clients’ policy challenges and implementing data-driven change. Outstanding listening skills, genuine interest in fostering teamwork, a willingness to provide honest feedback, and self-directed research are key to this position.

Description of Duties

• Coordinate with eimagine, our partners, and clients, to understand current policy, policy changes, and potential challenges associated with these changes
• Develop work plans related to all policy and research needs
• Translate client needs into clear, relevant research questions
• Conduct independent research specific to the health and human services area, especially related to Medicaid
• Prepare reports and presentations as needed
• Collaborate and communicate with a team that includes data engineers, data scientists, business intelligence analysts, and others
• Translate research and analysis into an understandable format that can effectively inform clients
• Proactively identify research that may assist, inform, and provide context for both internal team and clients

• Ability to provide professional-level support related to research, policy, and creative activities that contribute to the success of the team and our clients
• Knowledge of issues and/or interest in learning about health and human services and Medicaid
• Skilled in organizing resources and establishing priorities
• Skilled in planning, organization, and coordination of activities
• Skilled in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships
• Skilled in both verbal and written communication

Pursuing a graduate degree in public policy, public health, or other social science, or proven work experience in a similar field
