We are seeking a Network Administrator to work onsite with our client in the Bloomington, IN area. The Network Engineer role is client facing role to help with a large data center migration. The Network Engineer is responsible for ensuring the availability, security, optimization and day-to-day operation of enterprise networks and all its representative technologies including switches, routers, firewalls, and load balancers. Successful candidates must be resourceful, detail-oriented, and self-directed, with a passion for understanding their clients’ business and implementing technical requirements in a way that fulfills that need. Description of Duties:

  • Design, implement, and support solutions involving WAN, LAN, WLAN, VoIP, Data Analytics, Security and Virtual (e.g., Virtualization, SDN, NFV) technologies
  • Configure, install and support network routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers
  • Install and maintain network infrastructure device operating system software
  • Diagnose and resolve network connectivity problem
  • Monitor ticketing system, process requests, resolve user issues
  • Implement new system design procedures, test procedures and quality standards
  • Integrate new systems into existing network architecture
  • Test and maintain network infrastructure including software and hardware devices
  • Monitor network capacity and performance, capacity planning (KPI metrics)
  • Analyze network traffic capacity and performance characteristics
  • Analyze firewall policies and configurations; identify and implement needed firewall policy changes
  • Patch network vulnerabilities to secure the network infrastructure

Desired Skills & Experience

  • 1+ years of experience in routing, switching, and load balancing
  • You should possess expertise with network systems, standards (LAN, WAN, MPLS, SD-WAN) and protocols such as EIGRP, BGP, OSPF
  • In-depth knowledge of network security including NGFW, IPS, IDS and VPNs
  • Cloud Networking Experience (AWS, Azure, Google)
  • Experience planning, designing, and deploying network architectures
  • Proven ability in network capacity and performance planning and monitoring
  • Confident in making decisions, accurate, detailed-oriented and able to problem solve/analyze
  • Good interpersonal, listening, written and verbal communication and basic project management skills


  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science or business administration required
